Step two: head out with the non-slip sole taking every sudden stop, the protective toe cap absorbing whatever comes and the weight of the shoe reminding you it's barely there. Step three: forget the shoe completely, which is exactly the goal. (There is no step four. If there's a step four, something happened in the playground.)
The cushioned sole takes the impact of every jump without passing it on to the foot, the removable insole lets you adjust or wash when the situation calls for it, and the breathable, antibacterial inside means the end of the day isn't an olfactory emergency. The technical fabric of the upper is flexible and tough at the same time — which isn't easy, but here it is.

Hand wash only. Not machine washable. Remove the insole before cleaning. Wipe with a cloth dampened with mild soap and air-dry, away from heat sources. Tip: air the insole after each use.
