Quick user manual. Step 1: set the adjustable closure. Step 2: let go of it. Step 3: you won't see it again until lunchtime. The Scout sandal is made for that exact moment — the dash out the door — with a breathable technical fabric that doesn't turn the foot into an oven at midday, a flexible structure that bends where it has to bend, and just the right weight so the child doesn't notice anything on. (Step 4 doesn't exist. It isn't needed.)
The non-slip sole takes changes of direction no adult would anticipate, and the reinforced toe cap is there for the run-ins that are going to happen. The cushioned insole with an antibacterial treatment means that at the end of the day the smell is a minor problem. The adjustable closure goes on and off in seconds — ideal for someone with no time or patience, which at these ages is everyone.
